India , Jan 7 : The Indian Embassy in Washington reached out to three senior officials of the Trump administration on May 10, 2025, the same day a ceasefire following Operation Sindoor was announced, according to a filing by a US lobbying firm with the Department of Justice.

The outreach included contacts with White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer, and Ricky Gill of the National Security Council. The purpose of the communication was described as discussions related to “media coverage” of the conflict.

The filing, which contains around 60 entries submitted in December 2025 under the Foreign Agents Registration Act, does not clarify whether the calls took place before or after the ceasefire announcement. However, the disclosures point to close engagement between the Indian Embassy and senior US officials on that day.

The details emerge from mandatory disclosures made public on the Justice Department’s FARA website.
