A teary scene outside the KGMU Trauma Center, Lucknow where a patient was brought to shift in the ICU ward after his oxygen level dropped to 20 but the hospital staff refused to admit the patients as the hospital is short on oxygen supply.

The patient was lying inside an ambulance bearing number UP1G3264. Along with the patient, 2 attendants were also present in the ambulance who were beseeching to save the life of their family member.
3 days earlier the UP Government initially decided to convert the entire KGMU into covid hospital starting from 19 April and only cardiology and gynaecology emergencies will be addressed in the hospital.
Heavy floods completely damage Doda-Khellani road
Amid severe Thunderstorm alert in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir and UT of Ladakh. A major portion of the Doda-Khelani road got blocked due to heavy rainfall. Along with vehicles, ambulances got stuck on the road as well. The road has been temporarily blocked for traffic.
COVID Vaccine for age group 2 to 18 years old: Details inside
COVID Vaccine. The Subject Expert Committee (SEC) under India’s drug regulator has given its nod to Bharat Biotech for conducting phase 2 and 3 clinical trials of its Covid-19 vaccine Covaxin on children aged between 2 to 18 years old. The COVID vaccine trial is expected to be conducted on 525 subjects at various sites, including AIIMS-Delhi, AIIMS-Patna.
On Tuesday, the Subject Expert Committee on Covid-19 of the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) considered Hyderabad-based Bharat Biotech’s application seeking permission to conduct the COVID vaccine clinical trials to evaluate the safety of Covaxin vaccine among children.
While talking to the media an official said “After detailed discussion, the committee recommended for the conduct of proposed phase 2nd/3rd clinical trial of the whole virion inactivated coronavirus vaccine in the 2 to 18 years age group subject to the condition that the firm should submit the interim safety data of phase 2 clinical trial along with DSMB recommendations to the CDSCO before proceeding to phase 3 part of the study.

The situation will remain like this till Friday. As the country celebrates Eid tomorrow it can well be said that the universe splashed rains on celebrations as people are likely to stay indoors.
