Get Ready To Pay Penalty of 1000 rupees If Found Not Following The Orders

District Magistrate Srinagar released an order according to which if any shopkeeper, businessmen found violating the guidelines then he/she will have to pay a penalty of 1000 rupees.

The Guidelines to curb the covid cases are –

● All the markets, complexes and malls falling under the jurisdiction of Municipal limits can operate with 50% of the shops. The shops will open rotationally. If a market has shops on both sides then shops on one side will open on one day while the shops on the other side will open on the next day.

● If the market has shops on one side only then the shops with odd numbers will open on odd days while the shop with even numbers will open on even numbers.

● Shops in shopping complexes, malls will rotationally open on alternative days.

● All the hotels, restaurants, saloons will have to strictly adhere to the issued SOPs.

● Public transport is allowed to operate with 50% capacity only.

● All the shopkeepers have to make circles outside their shops at a distance of 1 meter to ensure social distancing.

● All the shops have to be properly sanitized before starting the operations.

● Shopping malls have to display the notice about which all shops will open on one day and which all shops will open on the other.

Encounter underway in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district

An encounter broke out between security personnel and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Tuesday. “Encounter has started at Vailoo, Kokernag area of Anantnag. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow. @JmuKmrPolice,” Kashmir police tweeted.

Three terrorists of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) are trapped in the area, quoting Vijay Kumar, inspector-general of police, Kashmir.

On May 6, three Al-Badr terrorists were killed and one surrendered before the security forces after an encounter in Shopian district. The presence of terrorists in the area was ascertained during the search operation and all of them were given an opportunity to surrender, according to police.

“Family members of the trapped terrorists were also called to the encounter site to motivate and persuade them to surrender,” police said.

Administration allows partial reopening of THESE Shops

While as the district administration has announced strict enforcement of lockdown from May 10 to May 17, it has, however, announced relaxations from 8 am to 12 noon for the sale of “some permissible items” during this period in the wake of Eid-ul-Fitr festival.

As per the order issued by the district commissioner Srinagar Muhammad Aijaz Asad, while strict containment measures are being taken to prevent the further spread of the virus in Srinagar, there will, however, be some relaxations from 8 am to 12 noon.

The order reads, partially permissible activities from 8 am to 12 noon include retail and wholesale grocery shops (excluding multi item departmental stores), milk and dairy products, mandis, shops and street vendors’ dealing with fruit and vegetables only, bakery, meat and chicken shops.

The order further reads that a complete corona curfew in the entire Srinagar district will remain in force from 7 am May 10 to 7 am May 17.

Meanwhile, an official told that the order must be seen under the preview of section 144 Crpc, and assembling of more than five persons won’t be allowed during the relaxation period that is from 8:00 AM to 12 Noon

Former DDC candidate detained at Airport for carrying Ak47 cartridge

Former defeated Chadoora DDC candidate was detained at the Srinagar International Airport on Sunday for carrying AK47 cartridge in her bag.

The woman was identified as Shabeena Akther W/O Muneer Ahmad Bhat R/O Hayatpora, Chadoora. She was residing in Hotel Mareen Resort Humhamma, and was traveling from Srinagar to Chandigarh by Indigo flight 6E 6041.

According to reports, while Shabeena went to take off the flight, an Ak47 cartridge was recovered from her 18 month old child’s handbag in the X-ray machine while checking.

After the incident, the accused was arrested by the Humhamma Police and detained for interrogation but was set free after initial questioning.

“It is believed that her kid would have kept it in the bag as a playful act as they are residing in secured zone at Hotel Meeran.” an official said
