SRINAGAR, JAN 09 : All egg samples collected from various parts of Srinagar and sent for laboratory analysis have been found to be of standard quality, officials said on Friday.
An official said the samples were tested in line with the norms prescribed by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) and were declared fit for human consumption.
The official clarified that the Eaggoz brand is not available in the Kashmir market and added that both loose and packaged eggs sold in Srinagar were lifted for testing during the inspection drive.Jammu & Kashmir tourism
He said the testing formed part of routine food safety surveillance aimed at ensuring product quality and protecting public health, adding that such inspection drives would continue in the future.
