The death toll due to COVID-19 has risen to 101 in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir with five more persons, including four the valley and one from Jammu, succumbing to the contagion on Tuesday.

With this death, 65 people have lost their lives due to infection in 26 days, and 86 people in 42 day in J&K, which reported more than 7300 infections.

Srinagar district with 24 deaths has the highest fatalities followed by Baramulla (16), Kulgam (13), Shopian (12), seven each from Jammu and Budgam and Anantnag  and Kupwara (5), Pulwama (four) while one death each has been reported from Bandipora, Poonch, Doda, Udhampur, Rajouri and Kathua.
