Char Dham Yatra suspended due to surge in COVID-19 cases. Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has decided that considering the current surge of COVID-19 cases in the country, Char Dham Yatra has been suspended.
In the recent times, restrictions and even a complete suspension has been put on visiting religious places.
In this alarming second wave, the Uttarakhand government has decided to suspend the Char dham Yatra too.
Giving more information on this, CM Tirath Singh Rawat said that, “the government has stopped the Char Dham Yatra this year. Only the priests of these four temples which are Badrinath, Dwaraka, Puri and Rameswaram, will be allowed to worship here”.
Earlier, in view of COVID-19, the news of postponement of Hemkund Sahib’s visit was also revealed.
Corona Curfew in Dehradun
Dehradun has also imposed a Corona curfew from 26th April 2021 (7 pm) 3rd May 2021 (5am).
An order in this regard has been issued on behalf of Dehradun District Magistrate, Ashish Kumar Srivastava. It has been said that during this period, there will be complete corona curfew in the municipal corporations of the district, Rishikesh, Dehradun and Cantonment Council, Gadhi Cantt and Clementown.
According to the order, the movement of private vehicles will be completely restricted during this period.
Also , shops for fruits, vegetables, dairy and ration will be opened till four o’clock in the evening. However, petrol pumps and gas supplies and drug shops will be open for full time.
Curfew Pass Necessary For Movement: Details inside
Given confusion among people, the J&K Administration has made curfew passes mandatory for movement. J&K is witnessing a spike in corona cases and is adopting all the measures to curb the cases. The markets are deserted but a little movement of people can be seen on the roads.

As per the sources, large traffic jams have been seen in various areas of Srinagar. Along with the traffic jams many traffic violations have also been reported from Kashmir. All the working employees, media officials who have to go to their offices have to carry the curfew pass. Although the District Administration, IG, SSP have made it clear that the ID cards of media officials will work as curfew passes but many police officials refuse to accept the ID card.
The administration has deployed large security forces to ensure that people should follow the covid curfew. Many roads have been sealed with barbed wires and barricades. The curfew passes can be obtained from the Deputy Commissioner’s office. The administration should release a clear order that all can get the curfew pass.
Germany sends oxygen plants for UT of Jammu and Kashmir: Details Inside

Grenade Attack At Police Nakka In Samba District
A grenade lobbed by an unidentified person on security forces in Nud Police Naka in Samba district.
Police officials said no one was injured and a search operation launched.
