Jammu , Jan 26 : The Border Security Force on Sunday foiled an infiltration attempt along the Indo-Pak International Border in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district, killing a Pakistani intruder, sources said.
According to officials, the intruder attempted to cross into Indian territory under the cover of darkness. Alert BSF personnel noticed suspicious movement and challenged him. When he failed to stop, the intruder was neutralised in the ensuing action.
The deceased has been identified as a Pakistani national. A thorough search operation has been launched in the area to rule out the presence of any other infiltrators.
The situation along the border remains under close watch, officials said, adding that further details are awaited.
