Srinagar, Jan 16: Dr. Rouf, a resident of Kashmir, has made an urgent appeal for government assistance to airlift his critically ill wife from a hospital in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, to Srinagar for treatment.
In an emotional request, he approached Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, urging them to coordinate with the Union Minister for External Affairs to facilitate her airlift.
Dr. Rouf stated that his wife suffered a stroke and doctors have indicated that her recovery could take several months or even a year. He described the situation as the worst of his life and appealed to authorities and the public for support.
Family members and friends have also urged prompt government action to help the ailing woman return home for urgent medical care.
