Srinagar Dec 25 : Srinagar observed Christmas with cheer and devotion on Wednesday, as the Christian community celebrated the festival with enthusiasm and a strong message of unity and harmony.

Churches across the city were adorned with lights and decorations, and special prayers were held to mark the occasion. Devotees gathered in large numbers to participate in services, spreading goodwill and celebrating the spirit of love and brotherhood. The celebrations reflected the inclusive culture of Kashmir, with joy and festivity evident across the city.

A father from the local Christian community said, “Christmas is a day of prayer and hope. Today, we pray for lasting peace in Kashmir and for brotherhood to continue in the same spirit forever.”

Despite being a minority, the Christian community in Srinagar celebrated with warmth and devotion, highlighting the region’s tradition of communal harmony and mutual respect among different faiths.
