New Delhi . Dec 15 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi will undertake a three-nation visit to Jordan, Ethiopia and Oman from December 15 to 18 to strengthen India’s engagement with key partners in West Asia and Africa.

The tour will begin in Jordan on December 15 at the invitation of King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein. During the visit, the Prime Minister will hold talks with the Jordanian monarch to review the full range of bilateral relations and exchange views on regional and global developments. The visit coincides with 75 years of diplomatic relations between India and Jordan and is expected to further deepen cooperation while promoting peace and stability in the region.

On December 16, Prime Minister Modi will travel to Ethiopia on his first State visit to the country. He will hold discussions with Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali, focusing on expanding cooperation across political, economic and development sectors. As partners in the Global South, India and Ethiopia are expected to reaffirm their commitment to closer collaboration and inclusive growth.

The final leg of the tour will be to Oman from December 17 to 18, at the invitation of Sultan Haitham bin Tarik. This will be the Prime Minister’s second visit to the Sultanate and comes as India and Oman mark 70 years of diplomatic relations. The visit will include a review of the Strategic Partnership, with talks covering trade, investment, energy, defence, security, technology, agriculture, cultural ties, and regional and global issues of mutual interest.
