Yuva Rajput Sabha marched to Toll plaza in Jammu, stages protest

Jammu:
Scores of members of Yuva Rajput Sabha on Monday marched towards Sarore Toll plaza in Samba from Dogra Chowk in Jammu city to stage an agitation against the Toll plaza demanding its discontinuation, while alleging it’s existence illegal in view of dilapidated road from Kathua to Jammu and NHAI guidelines.

“This is an illegal toll imposed on the people of Jammu. Why should we pay toll tax if our roads are in shambles.

“We want to apprise local authorities to discontinue Sarore Toll plaza peacefully otherwise the protestors will uproot it”, a vexed protestor said.

“If our roads would have been in good condition then we would have paid them more toll tax but the reality is the roads are in poor condition”, another protestor added.

“The people of Jammu have come here in unison against this toll plaza. We have held this  ‘Shakti Pradarshan’ to tell govt to remove this toll as it is illegal.

“We want govt to remove this toll plaza today otherwise Yuva Rajput Sabha will discontinue it and there should be a proper govt approval.

“LG Sir should not test the patience of Jammuities”, asserted, senior vice president, YRS, Mandeep Singh Chib.

“The people in this regime don’t pay heed to people’s concerns. They are forcing people to stage protests here.

“Yuva Rajput Sabha has got immense support of local people because this regime is not giving any attention to public matters”, a YRS member said.
