Jammu: Police arrests man with spurious liquor
Jammu: The Reasi Police on Thursday arrested a man and seized spurious liquor from him in Tehsil Pouni of Jammu’s Reasi district.
As per sources, the Reasi police received inputs through a reliable sourcethat one person namely Mangi Singh S/o Kaka Singh R/o Kheralaid, Tehsil Pouni District Reasi is selling illegal Desi illicit Liquor in the adjoining areas at village Kheralaid of P/S Pouni.
Acting on this information a raid was conducted by Police party of P/S Pouni led by SHO Pouni, Insp. Purab Singh under the supervision of DY.SP Headquarters Reasi, Neeraj Padyar and they seized 10 litres Desi Illicit liquor from the accused and nabbed him.
Meanwhile 55 liters Lahan was also destroyed on the spot. On this, a Case FIR No.51/2023 U/S 48 (a), 48(e), 48-(f) Excise act stands registered at Pouni police station. Further investigation of the case is going on.
