       Decades old idol started drinking in Jammu, devotees throng to watch
Jammu: Several devotees thronged to watch decade old installed Nandi idol drinking milk in Tirath Nagar area of Talab Tillo in Jammu after a report about the same went viral on social media.
The worshippers rushed to watch the idol and feed it milk.

A similar situation prevailed in a Shiva temple in Trikuta Nagar earlier where people came to Shiva temple to feed milk to the Nandi.
“We have been living here from past 35-36 years. My husband found the Nandi idol lying on a gate and he took it from there and installed here.
“There was a big tree here and he built a concrete stand and installed the Nandi idol on it. He was priest and used to perform pooja here.
“But after his death I started performing pooja as he is no more. I went to Bohri temple and came here and thought of feeding milk to the idol.
“When it started having milk I informed my children then my ward members also came here when they came to know about this.
“They all fed milk to the Nandi idol”, Wife of the Deceased’s priest said, who first feed the milk to the Nandi idol.
“I was on the duty and when I came back I fed the milk to the idol”, a woman said.
