The Sub Divisional Administration Thannamandi removed 55 structures which were coming in the way in new alignment of Rajouri-Thannamandi-Bafliaz road and due to which work was delayed.
On the directions of DC Rajouri, Vikas Kunadal, SDM Thannamandi Vikas Dhar, Tehsildar Thannamandi Sahil Ali Shah, SDPO Thannamandi Dr Imtiaz Hussain and SHO Thannamandi Shoket Hussain personally supervised the process of demolition and all the structures including shops, houses were demolition as compensation was already paid for the same but the owners of only few structures were not removing their old houses/ shops.
The strict directions were issued to the owners of all those structures coming in the alignment of road to remove the same. Several of them had already started the process of removing the structure at their own.
The SDM said those who fail to do so at their own their structures will be demolished so that all the bottlenecks are cleared and the project can be completed with in stipulated time period as public is suffering badly.
Sub Divisional Administration has appealed all the people to cooperate and remove their structures for which the Government has already paid compensation. ‘
People have shown good response and started pulling out from their buildings and shops. Those who have received the compensation are also removing their structures. The process of removing structure ended peacefully as people cooperated with the administration.
