Devotees will be able to register in advance for Amarnath Yatra from Monday. The yatra starts on June 30 and will conclude on August 11, the day of Raksha Bandhan. Registration facility is available in 466 branches of Punjab National Bank, Jammu Kashmir Bank, and Yes Bank. In addition, arrangements have been made to make health certificates in various states’ hospitals. The board has displayed the list of authorized doctors and hospitals on its website.
People below 13 years and above 75 years of age are prohibited from going on the Amarnath Yatra. Apart from this, the people who had registered for the 2021 Yatra and had not withdrawn their fees would be able to fill out the new application form by visiting the branch of the same concerned bank. They have to submit their old original travel slip. Instead, they will be able to fill out the application form. Along with them, they have to attach the necessary certificates. Last year’s fee will be adjusted for this time travel. Four photos will be required for registration.
Baltal and Pahalgam are the two routes of Amarnath Yatra. Travel slips of different colours will be available for travelling on different days for both routes. One hundred twenty will be charged per passenger. Passengers willing to travel last year and who have reached 75 years of age this year will also not be allowed to travel.

The Information and Broadcasting Ministry will hold a meeting in Srinagar on Monday to promote the Amarnath Yatra. Apoorva Chandra, Secretary of the Ministry, will hold a meeting with Jammu and Kashmir Chief Secretary Arun Kumar Mehta and Chief Executive Officer of Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board Nitishwar Kumar and other senior officials. Plan for various activities will be prepared to promote Baba Amarnath Yatra in the meeting. In 2019, a few days before the removal of Article 370 in August, Baba Amarnath Yatra was stopped. However, only a symbolic journey was made for the last two years due to Corona.
