Jammu , Jan 14 : The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) on Wednesday declared the results of the annual regular Class 12 examinations, with about 85 percent of students qualifying.
Officials said the overall pass percentage for the Class 12 exams stands at 85 percent. The Board also announced that 84 percent of students have cleared the annual regular Class 10 examinations.
JKBOSE had earlier granted a 15 percent relaxation in the syllabus for students of Classes 10, 11 and 12. The decision was taken following recommendations from the school education authorities and representations from various stakeholders.
The Board said the relaxation was allowed due to the delayed start of the academic session and repeated disruptions caused by extreme weather conditions, including heatwaves, heavy rainfall, cloudbursts and floods.
According to an official notification, students appearing in the annual regular 2025 examinations in the Kashmir Division and winter zones of the Jammu Division, including Ladakh, were required to attempt 85 percent of the syllabus. This was treated as equivalent to the full syllabus, effectively granting a 15 percent reduction to help students cope with the disrupted academic calendar.
