The Jammu and Kashmir government has granted 4% reservation to the residents of villages along the International Border (IB) with Pakistan, thus bringing them on par with the residents of the villages at the Line of Control (LoC).
The decision was taken at a meeting of the Administrative Council (AC), which met here under the chairmanship of Lieutenant Governor, G C Murmu. International Border Residents welcome the decision to 4% Job Reservation.
